Nawiri is a Swahili word meaning Thrive. At Nawiri Foresight, we are about thriving and transformative change. We care about how communities and individuals can radically collaborate. We would like to use foresight and systems methodologies to address the intractable challenges we are faced with on an everyday basis. We are intentional about being radically inclusive and connecting with people in ways we have never done before
Nawiri Foresight seeks to work with multiple stakeholders to find solutions to the world’s most difficult and intractable problems. We would like dive into the problem and get to the skin of it. Why do these problems exist? What are the structures and systems that maintain these problems?
How are these structures and systems reproduced? Why do they remain intractable? Who has the power to change and how can it be used to unlock the problems?
What patterns, trends and pockets of the future can we begin to see emerge if these challenges aren’t addressed and why is it important to uproot, tear down, destroy, overthrow, build and plant again –where challenges are structural, systemic, and pervasive. ‘You cannot put new wine in old wine skins,’ same way, you cannot build transformative systems of change if you are not willing to look at the problems from its roots. You must uproot the bad plant if it’s diseased so that you can grow another one again.
